Our client is a specialist surgical technology company with a strong presence across the Australian market and a reputation for delivering innovative, high-precision solutions to the surgical community. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Territory Manager to join their Ophthalmology division.

  • You will have direct access to leading surgeons and work with a portfolio of market-leading surgical technology. You will take ownership of an established ophthalmic territory across Melbourne, managing and growing a portfolio of accounts that includes hospitals, day surgery facilities, and specialist practices.
  • Your remit will span the full commercial cycle, from new business development and clinical evaluation through to account management, training, and ongoing utilisation support.
  • You will work closely with leading ophthalmic surgeons, theatre staff, and procurement stakeholders, acting as both a trusted commercial partner and a credible clinical resource.
WHAT YOU WILL LEAD AND GROW
  • This Territory Manager role, based in Melbourne will have you provide in-theatre clinical support during ophthalmic procedures and deliver product training to surgeons, nurses, and clinical staff.
  • You will manage new customer onboarding and equipment installations, support clinical evaluations and trials, and guide surgeons through technology transitions.
  • Commercially, you will develop and execute a territory plan, manage a pipeline of opportunities, and work toward quarterly and annual revenue targets.
  • You will identify and build relationships with key opinion leaders and specialist surgeons, represent the company at conferences, and collaborate with internal teams to align on strategy and share market insights.
WHAT EXPERIENCE & SKILLS WILL YOU NEED TO GET THE JOB?
  • A degree in a related Optical discipline, Nursing, Science, Business preferred. Candidates with an orthoptist or biomedical background are encouraged to apply.
  • You will bring a minimum of three years of phacoemulsification application or ophthalmic surgical sales experience, along with a demonstrated track record of commercial performance.
  • You are comfortable operating in theatre and can engage credibly with surgeons at a clinical level.
  • You are organised, self-directed, and capable of managing a complex territory independently.
  • Experience with laser eye surgery or advanced cataract platforms is an advantage, as are existing relationships within the Australian ophthalmic community. 
  • You must hold full working rights in Australia and a valid driver's licence for Victoria.
