- This Technical Solutions Specialist role, based in Brisbane, provides customer service and support of documentation and products in field, within the hospital environment.
- This position will manage all onsite installations, preventative and reactive maintenance.
- Growing documentation/telepresence and integrated operating theatre service contracts by actively promoting and selling programs, conducting regular preventative maintenance and providing in-service education is key to this role.
- You will be responsible for providing technical support and expertise to existing and potential customers and diagnosing and solving issues where necessary.
- You will provide QA control and service support including telephone/email support and ensure all activities are conducted in a safe manner and that all operations and outcomes conform to AS/NZS3551 and the company’s ISO9001 policy.
- You will ensure assessment and maintenance reports are sent to customers in a timely manner and ensure all work is logged and all appropriate documentation completed to enable efficient processing of jobs with the use of internal systems such as Salesforce and SAP.
- You will work closely with all business units to build a complete offering for customers, from sale to service and work with the Customer Solutions Lead on preparing a plan to identify specific commercial and service opportunities to pursue.
- You will prepare quotes for customers and conduct customer care and maintenance reviews.
- You will participate in marketing events such as seminars, trade exhibitions, workshops which will at times be of a sensitive nature (for example cadaver workshops). Due to the nature of your role and level of responsibility, this will include attendance on some weekends and evenings (although not often).
- You will participate in periodic business reviews, providing performance verification evaluation reports, transactional and contracted service history, and in-servicing details and work to grow service contract revenue through additional offerings.
- These medical devices/equipment can be considered critical, therefore after hours and weekend work may be required (although not often).
- Tertiary qualifications in electrical, electrical engineering or biomedical engineering is preferred, however not essential. You will have worked in the medical device industry in a similar role.
- Electrical Safety Testing certification.
- Previous experience in medical devices and instrumentation.
- Sound troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication skills, able to work with different personalities in a hospital/ operating theatre environment with strong commercial acumen and analytical ability.
- Familiarity with hospital/surgical environments and Australian standards AS3551 and AS3200 will be highly regarded.
- The ability to understand and impart technical knowledge across a broad portfolio of products.
- A current, valid driver's license and work rights in Australia essential.
- Excellent communication skills and customer focus.
