WHAT YOU WILL LEAD AND GROW
  • This Product Manager (Hospital Portfolio) role (12-month contract), will work with the Chief Marketing and Sales Officer to develop and execute marketing plans for new and existing products within this portfolio.
  • Responsible for managing the life-cycle of existing products to drive sustained profitability, evaluating market potential for new products and contributing to the formulation of strategic plans to enhance growth and expansion of the product portfolio is key to this role.
  • The position is responsible for the development and delivery of comprehensive product training to the sales team ensuring alignment with authorised product details and overarching company objectives for the product portfolio.
  • Challenges include development and implementation of innovative marketing plans for speciality products, reviewing and enhancing current product performance against key performance goals and supporting the successful assessment and launch of new products.
  • You will proactively monitor market dynamics, customer behaviour and competitor activity to understand marketing opportunities and develop tactical strategies including promotional campaigns to grow unique products and build market share of competitive product lines, with alignment of overall corporate strategy.
  • You will continuously manage the entire lifecycle of products, from conception, through launch and beyond. This involves tracking product performance and gathering customer feedback to refine strategies based on information gathered alongside evolving business needs to ensure continued relevance and success.
  • You will monitor competitor products and market trends to inform product positioning and differentiation strategies and foster strong cross functional relationships with the sales, regulatory and operations teams to ensure cohesive and successful product launches and provide ongoing support to help drive strategic objectives
  • You will strengthen the organisation’s relationship with Key Opinion Leaders and customers within the key therapeutic area to drive strategic initiatives across focus products, leveraging insights from stakeholders to refine marketing strategies and align initiatives with market needs and opportunities.
  • You will develop and deliver product training programs for the sales team to educate, train and support the enhancement of their ability to effectively communicate the product value proposition.
YOU WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN LANDING THIS ROLE
  • At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role in marketing in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Experience with or exposure to at least 60% of key points described above.
  • A strategic mindset, combined with dynamic expertise in market analysis, positioning of product within its clinical setting and cross functional collaboration are essential for this role. This position will be expected to leverage these skills to help drive organisational success and support various departments in achieving product portfolio goals as they contribute to long term objectives.
  • Medicines Australia qualification preferred.
