THE ROLE – WHAT YOU WILL DO EACH DAY & BUILD ON
  • This 12-month contract position for a Human Resources Business Partner will be responsible for the delivery of advanced People Services solutions across the employee lifecycle, including policy interpretation, grievance intake, case management, performance process administration and operational governance.
  • This role plays an important part in strengthening the employee experience by ensuring people processes are delivered with consistency, care and sound governance, while collaborating with HR Business Partners, Centres of Excellence, Legal and other stakeholders where specialist input or strategic alignment is required.
  • You will advise people leaders on company policies, process requirements, documentation standards and appropriate next steps, ensuring decisions are applied in a fair, consistent, transparent and compliant manner and you will manage complex employee cases from intake through closure, including fact-finding, stakeholder coordination, risk assessment, documentation and recommendations.
  • You will coach people leaders on managing performance, conduct, team dynamics and employee lifecycle concerns, helping them identify root causes and build stronger people management capability and promote a consistent and employee-centric experience by balancing business needs, employee impact, company policy and local employment requirements.
  • You will lead small projects or process improvement activities that strengthen People Services delivery, improve ways of working and enhance the quality and consistency of employee lifecycle processes.
  • You will support with managing workers compensation claims with employees and relevant providers and employee safety.
WHAT EXPERIENCE WILL YOU NEED TO GET THE JOB?
  • 3-5 years of relevant HR generalist experience, preferably in a matrix, regional or multinational environment.
  • Strong experience in employee lifecycle activities from post-onboarding through exit.
  • Experience managing a variety of employee cases, including but not limited to performance management related discussions, performance rating calibration facilitation, PIPs employee grievance handling, and separations.
  • Strong knowledge of HR policies, compliance requirements and Australian employment legislation.
  • Experience advising people leaders on nuanced employee lifecycle matters requiring judgment, policy interpretation and risk assessment.
  • APAC, regional or global exposure preferred.
  • You must have full working rights for Australia and be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
