A highly regarded international healthcare organisation is seeking an accomplished senior leader to take responsibility for its ANZ business during an important period of growth and organisational development. This executive-level position will have broad responsibility for commercial performance, strategic development, customer engagement, operational effectiveness and people leadership across the region.

The successful individual will operate with significant autonomy and will be expected to shape the future direction of the ANZ business, strengthen local capability, build an outstanding team and establish the foundations required to support sustainable long-term growth.

WHAT YOU WILL LEAD & GROW

Commercial Strategy & Growth
  • Develop and implement the strategic direction and commercial plan for ANZ.
  • Deliver sustainable revenue growth while maintaining appropriate focus on profitability and operational performance.
  • Identify opportunities to expand the organisation's presence across existing and emerging customer segments.
Business Leadership
  • Provide overall leadership and direction for the organisation's ANZ operations.
  • Act as a key link between the local business and regional/global leadership teams.
  • Establish clear business priorities and ensure the organisation is appropriately structured to deliver against them.
Organisational Development & Operations
  • Lead the development of the organisation's local operating capability.
  • Establish the systems, processes, resources and infrastructure required to support future growth.
  • Work closely with global and regional colleagues across Finance, HR, IT, Supply Chain, Regulatory, Quality, Customer Support and Commercial Operations.
Financial Leadership
  • Take responsibility for overall financial performance across ANZ.
  • Develop annual business plans, forecasts and investment priorities.
  • Monitor performance against revenue, margin and operating objectives.
Customer, Market & External Engagement
  • Develop strong relationships with key customers, healthcare stakeholders, strategic partners and industry groups.
  • Build an informed understanding of healthcare funding, reimbursement and market access considerations relevant to the business.
  • Monitor changes within the healthcare environment and translate these into appropriate commercial strategies.
People Leadership
  • Build, develop and retain a highly capable leadership and broader commercial team.
  • Establish clear expectations around performance, accountability and collaboration.
  • Coach and develop leaders while creating meaningful career and development opportunities across the organisation.
Governance, Compliance & Quality
  • Ensure the organisation operates in accordance with relevant regulatory, legal, quality and corporate requirements.
  • Promote a strong culture of integrity, compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Work collaboratively with specialist functions to ensure local business requirements remain aligned with global expectations.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
  • Tertiary qualification in business, healthcare, life sciences, marketing or a related discipline.
  • Postgraduate business qualifications or executive development would be well regarded.
  • Approximately 10+ years' progressive leadership experience within life sciences (medtech/pharmaceuticals). Your current or very recent roles will be leading a business turning over AUD $50M+ and you will have held Country Manager, GM, Managing Director or CEO positions.
  • Significant experience leading national, regional or multi-functional commercial teams.
  • Demonstrated success delivering business growth and improving commercial performance.
  • Experience building, developing and leading high-performing teams.
  • Strong financial and analytical capability, including exposure to budgeting, forecasting and business planning.
  • Experience operating within complex stakeholder environments.
  • Experience scaling, restructuring, establishing or transforming a business or commercial function will be highly regarded.
  • Ability and willingness to travel across ANZ as required.
