WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING EACH DAY
  • This Field Service Engineer role, based in Qld (Brisbane preferred, however, Sunshine Coast or Gold Coast might be considered for the right person), is an important point of contact for the organisation’s customers.
  • The position is based on the road, providing exceptional support to customers by installing, maintaining, and repairing various types of medical equipment. You will apply your knowledge of engineering principles to effectively troubleshoot and maintain systems, and you will demonstrate a well-rounded technical and interpersonal skillset.
  • You will ensure customers have a great experience each time they interact with the service team and ensure products within your territory are serviced, maintained and installed in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • The role will conduct basic operations training of systems for customers and complete all required service paperwork on time and accurately through information systems.
  • You will provide support at conventions, trade shows and customer trials and partner with the sales team in your region to ensure synergistic achievement of customer goals and ensure you keep sales and marketing abreast of any market intelligence gathered in your day-to-day role.
  • You will provide feedback to the Service Manager concerning product performance anomalies encountered in the field and make recommendations for service improvements.
  • You will respond to customer service issues in a timely manner, ensuring that customer systems are operational as soon as possible.
WHAT EXPERIENCE/SKILLS WILL YOU NEED TO GET THE JOB?
  • Tertiary qualification in engineering (NOT mechanical), electronics, computer science or other related technical discipline will be an advantage; however, all product training will be provided.
  • Experience in medical devices in a similar role is ideal.
  • Highly motivated, driven and empathetic; capable of working independently with the support of a regional service team. Capable of multi-tasking, setting priorities and self-scheduling work activities.
  • A great communicator, able to form close relationships with customers based on trust and respect and a great problem solver who can think analytically and communicate professionally in high pressure, time sensitive environments.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal, are a must with at least 3 years professional work experience in Australia.
  • Knowledge of DICOM/PACS systems would be of benefit.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime at short notice, understanding that the role is critical to the health and wellbeing of others.
  • Must have a vehicle (you will receive a car allowance) and possess a current, valid Qld driver’s license.
