WHAT YOU WILL LEAD AND BUILD
  • This Demand & Supply Planner role will be reporting to the ANZ Supply Chain and Customer Care Manager and will be accountable for driving S&OP process, optimising the supply of finished goods from demand, procurement, sourcing, and shipment to customers as well as performing logistics/operations activities, managing day to day 3PL warehouse tasks.
  • The position will drive continuous improvement projects in transport and warehouse operations by working with 3PL and drive cost savings and efficiency in transport and warehouse costs. You will be a key business partner to support sales, marketing, and distribution teams.
  • This role contributes to effective planning of the national stock, international replenishment plans with vendors and effective deployment of inventory, analysis of inventory health, performing day to day 3PL activities, new product introduction and driving S&OP process to ensure the best business outcomes.
  • You will lead S&OP process by utilising a collaborative and consensus approach by working with Sales, Marketing and Finance to obtain and ensure that current and accurate information is used for demand forecasts to improve forecast accuracy results.
  • You will develop demand forecasts (operational forecasts) at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time horizons as part of a demand planning function and review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results.
  • You will lead root-cause analysis into major forecast variances and initiatives to improve forecast accuracy while maintaining a demand plan to accurately represent future customer demand for the next 24 months.
  • You will develop a supply plan for imported traded/finished goods and monitor short to medium term fluctuations in inventory level vs. target and set inventory levels across ANZ to meet local sales plans and ensure outstanding customer service.
WHAT EXPERIENCE/SKILLS WILL YOU NEED TO GET THE JOB?
  • Preferably university educated or tertiary qualifications in APICS/CPIM.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in demand supply and logistics planning.
  • Strong negotiation skills and interpersonal communication skills with excellent English.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP S4 Hana, demand solutions and advanced planning systems.
  • Strong analytic skills to manage large quantities of quantitative data.
  • Advanced Excel and effective time management skills to be able to manage conflicting priorities.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills to drive continuous improvement.
  • Experience in a medical device company will be an advantage.
